Cute, but useless. By far the most useful Tillers rep seem to be Sho and Gina Mudclaw. Comment by Junyed Link to the npc, rather than the faction.
These people either show up in Halfhill Market or they're in one of these places. You can do these once a day. Comment by Just became Best Friends with Ella but she did not add to my reputation count. Unsure if this is working as intended because Blizz had said they would count. Either they changed their mind or perhaps you have to be exalted with The Tillers before the friendships start to count.
Just a note to any who might be confused, the script or Ella and Fish Fellreed are backwards. Ella is supposed to give you her favorite cat, Luna, as stated above, which she does. However, she tells you she's giving you pigs for your farm, which is actually the gift you receive from Fish.
The gifts arrive immediately, and work as intended, but the NPC's have backwards scripts. Comment by Snugglebuns I already had Fish as a Best friend and kept trying to look for her favorite cat like she said in the chat bubble after becoming best friends. I tried looking for the cat cause I wanted to see what it looked like but couldn't find it anywhere.
I had become best friends with 3 other NPCs at the time and had noticed at least one of them gave me pigs So I went to my farm and sure enough, the cat was there now. I guess these 2 NPCs chat bubbles got mixed around haha. Instead, there are six segments of friendship each, with the best level obtainable at friendship.
While gaining friendship, you'll also gain some Tillers reputation. You can check up on your friendship status at the Tillers Shrine in Sunsong Ranch. Completing these meal quests will grant 1, friendship.
A harder way to gain reputation is to give friends specific gifts. These are found in piles of Dark Soil to the north of Halfhill which unfortunately cannot be tracked on the minimap. Each friend will grant friendship per gift. In addition, there's one gift each NPC really wants, and turning that item into the specific NPC will grant friendship instead.
Some quests give friendship--either quests that signal you've reached a new friendship level or select dailies. Comment by Gazorninplat I think it should be mentioned that the Dark Soil gifts can be given to any of the Tillers. As far as I know the ones they LIKE give more rep, but they will accept any, at least the few left who are not Best friends to me are accepting all items.

When you are exalted with the Tillers and Best Friends with Ella, she'll come and wander about your farm looking at things and doing nothing really.
If she's at the market she will not come to your farm and you must wait for a day when she is at home with her cats. Comment by muhashi I'm surprised no one noticed or at least posted this but she has a long tail like a fox not sure if that means anything as all the pandaren ive seen have short stubby ones.

Comment by mournerslament Ella is the ever shy, catloving member of the Tillers. I didnt test if quests shows if you have the food or gift in the bank, but pretty pointless if it does,.
